Direct System
An indirect system is the most common plumbing system in the United Kingdom. In an indirect system, cold water is supplied from the mains to a storage tank, which is heated by a boiler or immersion heater. The hot water is then distributed to taps and showers throughout the home. The main advantage of an indirect system is that it provides good water pressure and is suitable for larger buildings. However, it can be more expensive to install and maintain than a direct system.
